Royal Heights Vapor Review

I'd like to start this review by thanking Debbie from Royal Heights Vapor for sending me the following selection for review & for patiently waiting to read my thoughts.

Royal Heights Vapor is a company based in South Carolina, US that (from what i've read) focus on creating premium gourmet dessert blends which pleases me somewhat because i love dessert blends - especially when they're perfectly crafted.

Royal Heights Vapor excerpt: Royal Heights offers unique custom crafted e-liquids to satisfy even the most discriminating vaping enthusiasts. There are e-juices and then there is Royal Heights! There is a noticeable difference between bargain-priced e-juice and the more exclusive high-end vaping e-liquids. Royal Heights is TOP SHELF, using only the highest quality ingredients that are manufactured in the United States. We spend months developing and testing each complex flavor, artfully combining multiple ingredients to produce a rich, satisfying experience.

It's always good to see a vendor take pride in their products & when it comes to price, RHV is more or less in the same league as other premium brands - so of course i was looking forward to review commencement. The first selection i chose was Smooth Talker, but somehow it just wasn't developed enough & in all honesty i wasn't getting enough flavour - not for an advertised premium product anyway, so i decided to put the review on hold to give RHV a fair go & allow the blends to mature a little more - shaking up here & there before i continued & with these blends, patience really is a virtue!
There's a few mixed (good/bad) reviews regarding RHV floating around online that i've read but that didn't alter my perception & it shouldn't alter yours because what a select few don't like - others may love & it's these choices that make being a vaper such a wonderful thing! - But saying that, my subscribers know i don't mess about & i take these reviews VERY seriously - so let's see if RHV's bold statement really is a true representation of the company.

For this review & for all blends i used the Joyetech eGrip with the eGrip CS Rebuildable deck & Joyetech's pre wound coils rated @ 1.2ohms & Organic Japanese Cotton.

Please note: When making a review of vendor products, you usually get an idea after testing a few liquids the quality & dynamic of their production processes. Because of this i choose 5 liquids to review. If a vendor has more than 1 line of e-liquid (such as standard & premium) i will review 5 from each. Any e-liquids that say IN TESTING or AWAITING REVIEW/DELIVERY next to the title will be updated in due time. I like to take my time with a product which is usually a week but sometimes it could be more & sometimes less. These reviews are my own opinions & the score i give each is my own preference score. A rating of 7 for me might be a 10 for you. 10 for me is the perfect vape in flavour complexity, vapour production & throat hit on any & every device i try it on.

SMOOTH TALKER REVIEW: 6mg

Testing Period: 1/2 Days.
Received: This item was provided by the vendor for review.
Equipment: Joyetech eGrip, Joyetech eGrip CS RBA, Joyetech pre wound coil 1.2ohm @ 14+ Watts, Japanese Organic Cotton.

I've said it plenty of times & i'll say it again - i love vanilla custards & i'm very fussy when it comes to these type of blends. Smooth Talker (as advertised) is a smooth, rich creamy vanilla custard with hints of berries - yummy! & it's the reason i chose it first. As i stated above though, my initial impressions - well let's just say i wasn't impressed - I am however experienced enough to know that it was down to the flavours not having enough time to develop yet which is why i put this review on hold - & i'm glad i did, i'm certain RHV will be also. The aroma given off by Smooth Talker definitely represents a rich custard blend with the vanilla & berry elements closely combined together, i could however still separate & identify each profile. Smooth Talker seems to have developed in scent a touch more during the steeping period compared to when i first opened the bottle.

On inhale (after steeping) Smooth Talker definitely has dense qualities that enhance the overall experience it aims to replicate. Slightly sweet, smooth & very creamy vanilla with fruity nuances on the lows & an authentic "madagascar" vanilla extract flavour profile becoming slightly more noticeable on the highs. The berry nuances which i believe to be maybe raspberry &/or blueberry are only just slight which i feel compliment the blend for what it is - an indulgent, luxurious & moreish gourmet creation. Throat hit i found to be a bit too smooth for me although the dense characteristics that replicate a custard blend  satisfied me so much that i didn't pay too much attention to that detail. Vapour production was thick & dense - as it should be! with a delicious dessert type carrying aroma that reminded me of a simple, no frills biscotti.

Would I purchase Smooth Talker?
Yes i would. Smooth Talker definitely goes in my top picks & to be completely honest, i wish i left this review for a few more weeks because i KNOW that Smooth Talker is one of those blends that become better & better with age!

Could Smooth Talker be an all day vape?
Yes it could be! I found Smooth Talker to be highly consistent in flavour with absolutely no excess mouth dryness during the period of testing. I could vape this blend on a daily basis & i'm a bit peeved i was only given 10ml (Debbie - Shame on you!)

On a scale from 1 to 10 Smooth Talker gets a 9.

TO GIVE A CLEARER UNDERSTANDING OF HOW MUCH ALLOWING THIS BLEND TIME TO MATURE HAS AN IMPACT - IF I DIDN'T PUT THE REVIEW ON HOLD, SMOOTH TALKER WOULD'VE GOT A 4 - MAYBE 5!

FLYING MONKEY REVIEW: 6mg

Testing Period: 1/2 Days.
Received: This item was provided by the vendor for review.
Equipment: Joyetech eGrip, Joyetech eGrip CS RBA, Joyetech pre wound coil 1.2ohm @ 14+ Watts, Japanese Organic Cotton.

Love the name of this blend although it confuses me a little being an individual born & raised in the UK, but i'm guessing Flying Monkey is a blend that replicates some kind of dessert i wouldn't be too familiar with anyway. The flavour profile/s as advertised essentially incorporate banana, vanilla, ice cream, caramel, whipped cream, nuts & chocolate - which sounded absolutely delicious i must say. The aroma Flying Monkey produces IMO is of candied banana & slight nutty high tones which doesn't really smell anything like i expected but is still very pleasant & on par with what a gourmet dessert type e-liquid should smell like.

On inhale Flying Monkey has quite subtle characteristics. The vanilla & banana come through creamy & candy-like on the lows, with a dark caramel - light nutty profile on the highs. I didn't get noticeable nuances of the chocolate which i prefer in all honesty so i like the ratio being used & the blend overall wasn't as creamy as i expected it to be, although that being said, Flying Monkey is a delightful blend which i feel, just like Smooth Talker - would benefit the vaper if he/she left the blend to steep a touch longer than usual, i really feel it makes a difference. On exhale the banana, caramel & nutty nuances become more combined creating a profile that reminds me somewhat of a banana sundae. Throat hit i found very smooth & slightly sweet, vapour production was superb with a candy-like banana carrying aroma.

Would I purchase Flying Monkey?
No i wouldn't, although it is a blend i appreciate & a blend i would recommend to vapers that love banana dessert type flavour profiles because it most definitely produces that.

Could Flying Monkey be an all day vape?
Yes it could be, i found Flying Monkey to be an extremely smooth & flavorful vape consistently! I'm sure Flying Monkey could be a daily for the kind of vaper it'll attract.

On a scale from 1 to 10 Flying Monkey gets a 7.

SLICE REVIEW: 6mg

Testing Period: 1/2 Days.
Received: This item was provided by the vendor for review.
Equipment: Joyetech eGrip, Joyetech eGrip CS RBA, Joyetech pre wound coil 1.2ohm @ 14+ Watts, Japanese Organic Cotton.

Third in line for review & another blend that has improved significantly over the extended steeping period is Slice. I absolutely love the aroma which (IMO) is an exact replication of a bramley apple pie, in that the apple comes through slightly sweet with a delicate balance between the spice & pastry, buttery elements. Slice is without doubt the first & only blend thus far i've come across that (in aroma) smells like an authentic, home-baked hot apple pie & i was really wishing these fantastic traits reflect in the vape itself.

On inhale, the best way i can describe what i tasted would be to have you "imagine" slicing some green apple wedges in to a frying pan, sprinkling some brown sugar & cinnamon on top, then cooking & eating - this is what i could taste on both the highs & the lows. The flavour profile IMO is quite a close replication of a slightly sweet, authentic apple pie filling with a creamy, buttery aftertaste that stays in the mouth during exhale. I strongly feel that giving this blend a good 3 weeks extra storage time for the flavours to fuse & develop before vaping would make the difference between liking or disliking it & i say this because that's how it was for me. Throat hit i found to be smooth with a slight spiciness & vapour production was, just like the previous, fantastic with a "slight" apple, buttery carrying aroma - very nice indeed.

Would I purchase Slice?
Yes i would! Slice is another blend that gets MUCH better with age & the remaining amount i have i intend coming back to in another few weeks in order to verify this - for myself at least. Slice is a delicious blend that's been very well crafted.

Could Slice be an all day vape?
Not for me, although i find Slice an extremely flavorful vape indeed, it's not the kind of flavour profile i could vape on a daily. Blends like this i use as a break from the "norm" which i suppose is why i appreciate them so much - especially when they taste this good! - But of course that's just my own preference & Slice could easily be an all day blend for many i'm sure.

On a scale from 1 to 10 Slice gets a 8.

URBAN-O REVIEW: 6mg

Testing Period: 1/2 Days.
Received: This item was provided by the vendor for review.
Equipment: Joyetech eGrip, Joyetech eGrip CS RBA, Joyetech pre wound coil 1.2ohm @ 14+ Watts, Japanese Organic Cotton.

Urban-O was a blend i purposely left near to the end for review because i wanted to give it a few extra days sitting time. From the get go Urban-O's aroma is very complex & there's an array of scent profiles that are given off from an opened bottle ranging from its citrusy aspects, all the way down to its creamy elements. The aroma itself is borderline candy moving up to dessert like, but either way it smells superb & i must add is a scent profile i'm quite familiar with so i basically knew what to expect.

On inhale, Urban-O delivers a smooth & consistent flow of flavours that IMO tasted like a mixture of berries & cream on the lows, then being capped off by a citrusy element i just can't nail down - whether it be a touch of lemon or a twist of lime. Urban-O naturally has dense & creamy characteristics throughout the blend as a whole & i found it to be almost velvety in consistency during the testing session. Another point i'd like to add is that Urban-O was another blend i opened as soon i received & not only has the aroma increased & become slightly more balanced, the blend itself has become much more flavorful & uniformed. I can't really add a comparison because Urban-O, in essence is supposed to replicate a bowl of fruit loops & i've never eaten a bowl of fruit loops, i can however compare to other blends from various vendors using the same type of profile - for which i can confirm Urban-O is on par with &/or above. Throat hit i found smooth & creamy with an equally fruity & creamy aftertaste left behind in the mouth, vapour production was fantastic with a mildly sweet, fruity & almost pastry like carrying aroma.

Would I purchase Urban-O?
Yes & no.... Urban-O isn't the type of blend i personally go looking for although it's not a blend i would forget about & never come back to (if that makes sense).

Could Urban-O be an all day vape?
Yes it could be, Urban-O has a profile that's consistent & full of flavour. I can easily see Urban-O being a favourite for many dessert type vapers & above all, i never had any excess mouth dryness during the testing period so for me, that's a good sign for a daily.

On a scale from 1 to 10 Urban-O gets an 8.

THE ARISTOCRAT REVIEW: 6mg

Testing Period: 1/2 Days.
Received: This item was provided by the vendor for review.
Equipment: Joyetech eGrip, Joyetech eGrip CS RBA, Joyetech pre wound coil 1.2ohm @ 14+ Watts, Japanese Organic Cotton.

Last in line for review was The Aristocrat, which is (as described) a blend of cake, pudding & vanilla swirled into butterscotch & caramel, then topped with hints of pineapple. The aroma, again is definitely very dessert like with the pineapple coming through balanced & very creamy. I couldn't smell any caramel or butterscotch but what it did smell like to me was more along the lines of a light pineapple custard - So i was curious to see if this blend had the taste & high profile nature a true aristocrat would have.
On inhale The Aristocrat came through for me very simply - in that my initial impressions of scent basically carried down to taste. The pineapple, vanilla & custardy elements come through mildly sweet & well combined on both the highs & the lows creating a delicate yet flavorful custard type profile. I couldn't for the life of me taste the caramel or the butterscotch although i'm putting the light sweetness down to those ingredients & i'll add that i believe even a higher ratio of those flavours wouldn't benefit The Aristocrat overall. Throat hit i found equally as smooth as all the previous with a light yet deliciously fruity carrying aroma.

Would I purchase The Aristocrat?
No i wouldn't because i feel that Smooth Talker has a more appealing custardy type profile than The Aristocrat, although that being said, The Aristocrat is a delicious blend that's been well thought out & executed.

Could The Aristocrat be an all day vape?
Not for me it couldn't although i have nothing negative to say in regards to recommendations. The Aristocrat i feel is one of those blends you either like it or you don't & those that like it, i'm sure will use on a daily basis.

On a scale from 1 to 10 The Aristocrat gets an 7.

OVERALL OPINIONS
Where do i start! Well when i first received the selection for review, in all honesty (as i stated above) i wasn't impressed & i expected much more. As a rule of thumb i always prefer to allow thicker VG blends time to steep because no matter what any "veteran" vaper says - it really does make all the difference to the final product & Smooth Talker is a perfect example of this. Royal Heights Vapor have themselves a lovely little collection that they should be proud of although i HIGHLY RECOMMEND allowing any blends purchased through them ample time to steep & "from a customer's standpoint" RHV maybe creating pre-batches instead of  creating orders "made-to-go" would make the difference between gaining & losing customers. All in all, this review took much longer than i anticipated but i'm happy it did & again i'd like to thank Debbie for her patience. Well done RHV & i'm sure things can only get better.

PLUSH REVIEW: 12mg

Testing Period: 2 Days
Received: This item was provided by the manufacturer.
Equipment: ileaf Lemo Drop on the eVic Supreme, Kanthal A1 28g - 9 wraps, 1.2ohm @ 16-18.5 Watts, organic japanese cotton.

Because i find Classified's product descriptions very appealing, i've opted to include them for all blends & of course, for your viewing pleasure.

Plush Description: This divine dessert flavour will leave your mouth watering with the taste of fresh, warm bananas fused with hints of vanilla & fluffy meringue.

First in line for review (as if you haven't already guessed) is Plush. Plush from Classified's description is essentially a banana souffle blend. I'm not a big fan of banana e-liquids but lately i've been trying banana blends from various vendors that have been surprising me. The aroma when i twisted the lime green cap off the black frosted glass bottle was absolutely delightful - the banana comes through extremely robust with profiles between authentic & candy-like infused with an almost golden syrupy, pastry type scent. I couldn't smell the vanilla & to be honest it smells nothing (apart from the banana) like as advertised - it smells better!

On inhale Plush was much lighter all round than i initially expected - it also tasted somewhat different to what i expected. A light & creamy "cooked" banana profile comes through on the lows with only a slight hint of its expected candy-like characteristics, the "cooked" banana taste then peaks on the high notes leaving an irresistible yet delicate fusion between itself & the vanilla on the exhales. I found this statement to be true & consistent with each & every vape & it's the reason why Plush has now become my favourite "banana" type vape. Plush is one of those e-liquids you have to try to really understand its complexity & quite simply, those that like it will love it & those that don't like it will still appreciate it!

Throat hit was perfect for me providing a smooth yet "spicy" kick & vapour production was just as good with slight hints of a light & fragrant banana carried within the clouds.

Would I purchase Plush?
Yes i would! i enjoyed my day of testing so much that it extended to 2 days. I think Plush is a lovely blend meticulously crafted to perfection & what i expect took months of revisions to achieve! Could it be better? Maybe, but then maybe in trying to revise, Plush becomes a slightly lower standard to what it is now - & we (vapers) couldn't have that now could we!

Could Plush be an all day vape?
Yes it could be very easily. Plush is a delicate, light & perfectly balanced blend that moves away from the banana "danger zone" of being candy-like & gracefully slides on all bands into an authentically replicated hot banana souffle dessert type vape.

On a scale from 1 to 10 Plush gets a 9.

INDULGE REVIEW: 12mg

Testing Period: 1 Day
Received: This item was provided by the manufacturer.
Equipment: ileaf Lemo Drop on the eVic Supreme, Kanthal A1 28g - 9 wraps, 1.2ohm @ 16-18.5 Watts, organic japanese cotton.

Indulge Description: Take a moment for yourself & indulge in this savory blend of smooth vanilla custard & creamy pudding, aptly balanced with the flavour of an oven-baked pastry.

Indulge is Classified's take on a vanilla custard type blend & it's profiles like this that i love to vape on frequently. To me these kind of blends should be thick, creamy & full of flavour all round - just like the product it's supposed to replicate & through the years there's only ever been one vendor that's done that for me located in the UK (review coming soon). Another point IMO worth mentioning is that i've always found custardy type vapes that much better when a higher concentration of VG is used - like 70% because it not only enhances the overall sweetness, the dense clouds produce an kind of placebo effect giving the impression of flavour "thickness" (if that makes any sense).

Indulge's aroma certainly has custardy vanilla & baked pastry type elements to it & just like Plush it smells wonderful, but as they say "the proof is in the pudding" - On inhale i found Indulge to be very close in comparison to Classified's description. A light vanilla custard profile comes through clean & direct on the lows, that gradually evolve into a type of vanilla flavoured "shortbread" on the highs consistently. I didn't really notice any creaminess overall which i would've expected although i feel the flavour compensates. On exhale i found the pastry profile becomes slightly more prevalent & the vanilla custard tones down in strength. I just WISH that this blend had what i stated above regarding a higher VG content because the flavour is quite literally there but i feel it lacks that custardy "denseness" i like associating with these type of blends. Throat hit gave a perfect kick with a slight mellowness or smoothness to it & vapour production was great with a slightly sweet (which goes for the whole blend) & pleasant carrying aroma.

Would I purchase Indulge?
Yes i would although it's not the best i've tried to date but definitely very close to it.

Could Indulge be an all day vape?
Of course! the flavour is all there consistently & you know instinctively what you're vaping from the first inhale. I do however believe that vapers that regularly vape custard blends may prefer a higher VG alternative for the reasons i wrote above (IMO).

On a scale from 1 to 10 Indulge gets an 8.

KEEN REVIEW: 12mg

Testing Period: 1 Day
Received: This item was provided by the manufacturer.
Equipment: ileaf Lemo Drop on the eVic Supreme, Kanthal A1 28g - 9 wraps, 1.2ohm @ 16-18.5 Watts, organic japanese cotton.

Keen Description: An invigorating blend of semi-sour kiwi & tart apple, which is rounded out by notes of sweet, succulent blueberry.

Love the name given to this blend! Keen, by definition has various meanings, although i think an "eagerness" seems a touch more fitting - an eagerness to please any & all that vape it. Keen has an unusual aroma to it to the extent where it almost smells savory by nature - kind of like a sweetened vegetable or tomato soup & i know that sounds crazy but that's what i picked up! If you happen to have a bottle to hand, put those flavour profiles in your mind & then give it a good sniff - am i wrong?
On inhale i can confirm that it tastes nothing like either soup - thank goodness :)
Keen for me has to be the most complex blend so far with noticeable fruity, sweet & sour layers. The first profile that caught my attention was the clean, distinct taste of the slightly sweet but sharp green apple on the lows, which then leads up to an apple & light blueberry mixture, finishing up with an all-in-one mixed flavour profile of the kiwi, apple & blueberry on the highs. Keen i feel has ambiguous characteristics because during my time of testing the flavours would sometimes mix up on me, sometimes i would get clear notes of the blueberry before tasting any apple & other times the blend would come through as complete - a one layered mix. The sourness is balanced out by the sweetness although i did like (best way i can describe it) the "soury" aftertaste left in my mouth during exhale - kind of like after the initial sensation when eating sour candy - just not as intense of course. Throat hit had a touch more kick to it than the previous which i feel boils down to its sour nature & vapour production was A+ with a fruity but slightly unusual carrying aroma.

Would I purchase Keen?
No i wouldn't simply because it's not for me but i do think it's another quality blend that will be popular with many vapers. Keen, although a fruity blend does have character & i feel makes a perfect addition to the classified line of e-liquids.

Could Keen be an all day vape?
Yes it could be, the fact that it kept me guessing during testing signifies to me that being a monotonous blend wouldn't be an issue. i recommend vaping Keen while sitting in the sun, sipping on an apple spritzer. I also believe our vape ladies will love this blend.

On a scale from 1 to 10 Keen gets an 8.

FUSION REVIEW: 12mg

Testing Period: 1 Day
Received: This item was provided by the manufacturer.
Equipment: ileaf Lemo Drop on the eVic Supreme, Kanthal A1 28g - 9 wraps, 1.2ohm @ 16-18.5 Watts, organic japanese cotton.

Fusion Description: Relax your mind with the refreshing taste of iced black tea blended with fresh blueberry & tropical passion fruit.

Fusion needs no introduction because the description says it all. I do enjoy tea blends & i had very high hopes for Fusion because the mixture of fruity flavours stimulated my "buds" even before i had my first vape - so let's get to the details! The aroma given off by Fusion is clearly & unmistakably a RICH black tea blend so much so that i masks the fruity elements a touch too much to the point where i could only smell VERY slight fruity nuances but i really had to give a good sniff.
On inhale Fusion is definitely much lighter in taste than aroma with an "unexpected" balance between the black tea & fruity profiles. The black tea reminds me pretty much exactly the same as Ben Jonson's Sweet Peach Tea variation, in that the black tea has a fresh & authentic taste reminiscent of a quality darjeeling brand on both the highs & the lows. As for Fusion's fruity elements, the flavour was moderately sweetened, clean & light! the blueberry & passion fruit are very well combined together & i noticed come through more defined during exhales - i could even taste a touch of orange which is a little confusing to say the least. Throat hit just like the previous was perfect & vapour production was very nice with an "earthy" but pleasant carrying aroma.

Would I purchase Fusion?
No i wouldn't. In all honesty, i completely appreciate Fusion for being a quality blend, although i've had better tea blends & this includes Ben Jonson's Sweet Peach Tea.

Could Fusion be an all day vape?
For me - no, but for the right vaper/s it appeals to, i think they'll enjoy it very much which would of course lead to daily usage.

On a scale from 1 to 10 Fusion gets a 7.

DELIGHT REVIEW: 12mg

Testing Period: 1 Day
Received: This item was provided by the manufacturer.
Equipment: ileaf Lemo Drop on the eVic Supreme, Kanthal A1 28g - 9 wraps, 1.2ohm @ 16-18.5 Watts, organic japanese cotton.

Delight Description: An old fashioned cobbler with a savory fruit filling prepared with ripe peaches & sweet berries crowned with a thin biscuit topping.

Last in line for review was Delight & there's no better word for this blend IMO because it truly is. I've vaped plenty of cobbler variations over time & to be honest there's never been one that i disliked. I find these type of blends always provide unique flavour profiles & not one that i've vaped is the same as the other, which may sound like an obvious but it's really not with the amount of vendors in circulation. Delight has a beautiful aroma profile ranging from sweet peaches & mixed berries to a slightly buttery pastry - it completely smells like the real thing which opened up my "Vappetite".

On inhale i thoroughly enjoyed the way the flavours combined to create a subtle yet realistic cobbler experience. The lightly sweetened peach is without a doubt the main fruit flavouring although during every vape i started to noticed small nuances of maybe strawberry & blueberry although i really couldn't tell for certain - but what i do know, is that there's definitely an underlying fruity base that carries along with the peach discreetly & very well balanced. The "pastry" profiles i found to be an all-rounder throughout the vape on both the highs & the lows, i also liked the "cobbler" aftertaste that stayed in my mouth during that time. Throat hit, just like every single blend suited me perfectly & vapor production was splendid with a very light but scrumptious cobbler "oven baked" carrying aroma.

Would I purchase Delight?
Yes i would & i've already let the guys at Classified know that this is another one of my favourites. I recommend this blend to any & every fruit dessert type vaper because it's sublime.

Could Delight be an all day vape?
For me it could be very easily! I find Delight to be flavourful & consistent each & every time - tank after tank. Delight is another classified shining star that won't fail to satisfy even the most avid of vapers - just like me!

On a scale from 1 to 10 Delight gets a 10.

OVERALL OPINIONS
I had a great time reviewing the classified line & it most certainly proves that an extremely well created gourmet selection doesn't have to cost top shelf "over" prices - although everything about classified screams classiness from packaging to product. I really liked the black frosted glass bottles but what i didn't like was not being able to see how much e-liquid i had left, but obviously there's a simple fix which is hold the bottle up to a bright light. My favourites from the whole line would have to be Plush, Indulge & Delight. Plush & Delight i could vape day after day without becoming too tired of the flavours & Indulge has to be in my collection as a great vanilla custard alternative blend. I would love to see a Classified VG line down the road which i think would be outstanding using the same flavour profiles they use with the current selection - that would be a nice treat!
